PET advocates and stimulates the development of appropriate, low-cost, robust, and power-independent medical devices, together with learning materials, to aid life-saving decisions and help frontline healthcare workers meet the challenges of health care in under-resourced settings.

We aim to fill the gaps in health care delivery with innovative technologies that assist in providing critical care, particularly in low resource settings, thereby impacting newborn, child, and maternal survival in high-burden countries.

Our goal is to develop a range of essential medical devices and ensure that they are available and affordable for frontline workers in low- and middle-income countries, especially sub-Saharan Africa.

What we do

PET aims to develop and make fit-for-purpose essential life-saving medical technologies accessible to impact newborn, child, and maternal survival in high-burden countries.

The long-term goal is to develop a range of essential medical devices and to establish distribution and support partnerships to ensure that they are available and affordable for frontline healthcare workers in low- and middle-income countries, especially sub-Saharan Africa.
