The Latin America and Caribbean Newborn Health Alliance, an interagency group which promotes newborn health within a Reproductive, Maternal and Child Health continuum; is pleased to announce the launch of a new toolkit. This toolkit has been designed to introduce readers to the history and successes of the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) Neonatal Alliance and its significance as a structural model for global health work in alliances; and two, to support those actors interested in forming their own national-level neonatal alliances by providing background information, detailed examples, and adaptable resources on how current national neonatal alliances in the LAC region were formed and function. This toolkit is available in both English and Spanish, and both versions are included on this page. Este herramienta guía se diseñó con dos propósitos principales: en primer lugar, presentar a los lectores la historia y los logros de la Alianza Neonatal para América Latina y el Caribe (ALC) y su importancia como modelo estructural para el trabajo internacional en beneficio de la salud en el marco de alianzas; y, en segundo lugar, para respaldar a aquellos actores que tienen interés en formar sus propias alianzas neonatales en sus países mediante el aporte de información general, ejemplos detallados, y recursos adaptables sobre cómo se formaron y cómo funcionan as alianzas neonatales que existen en la región de ALC en la actualidad.
