This study identified barriers, opportunities and determinants to early pregnancy identification focused antenatal care health facility delivery and postnatal care at community level in Gurage and Sidama zones of SNNPR region of Ethiopia. The study indicated that there is progress with early identification and notification of pregnancy both in Gurage and Sidama zones because of increased availability of health information, education and communication services provided by health extension workers, other health professionals and health development armies.
