Federal Ministry of Health and its partners commemorated World Prematurity Day (WPD) under the motto “Kangaroo Mother Care is an Effective Method of Treating Premature Babies”. The day was observed by conducting various awareness raising activities such as media campaigns, local events and other activities. WPD 2016 was a very good opportunity to raise awareness on the challenges faced by children born premature and their families.
