Anne Pfitzer
Biography
Anne has over 15 years experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of health service delivery and human capacity building projects in Africa and Asia. Currently Anne works as Deputy Director for the Saving Newborn Lives program at Save the Children. Previously, Anne worked at Jhpiego for 15 years where she was the Associate Director for Global Programs and responsible for proposing and designing strategies and systems to advance programs according to strategic goals and objectives. She also spearheaded new business development and worked collaboratively with regional and country staff in the identification of program strategies and setting priorities. While at Jhpiego, Anne also served as the Ethiopia Country Director (2006-2008) and the Senior Field Program Manager (2004-2006) under USAID's global program, ACCESS, where she was responsible for providing technical and programmatic oversight to 12 field supported ACCESS programs. In addition to Ethiopia, she has held long term posts in Indonesia and Kenya, and has short term experience in many countries throughout Asia and Africa. Anne holds a MHS in Maternal and Child Health from Johns Hopkins's School of Hygiene and Public Health.
