Geeta Bandi-Phillips is Policy and Advocacy Manager at Women and Children First (UK), which works to reduce the neonatal and maternal mortality.
Before joining WCF-UK, Geeta worked with Unicef, leading Asia-wide research and advocacy processes on health, on social exclusion and on youth. Prior to that she headed up India’s “Unite for Children Unite Against AIDS” campaign. Earlier she worked with Dalit Solidarity Network on Dalit human rights, and with Landmine Action on the rights of people in conflict areas.
She is originally from Andhra Pradesh, South India, and is now in London after stints in Bangkok, Delhi, the Hague and Oxford. She has two children. You can follow her on twitter @bandiphillips.
