Mary Kinney
Biography
Mary Kinney, a Data and Communications Specialist for Save the Children’s Saving Newborn Lives program, is based in South Africa. She provides support specifically in the area of the use of data for policy and advocacy for newborn health. In 2009, she coordinated Science in Action: Saving the lives of Africa’s mothers, newborns and children. In 2012, Mary co-edited Born Too Soon: The Global Action Report for Preterm Births and A Decade for Newborn Survival, a supplement in Health Policy and Planning. She holds a masters degree in international relations from the University of Cape Town.
