From 11 to 15 November 2019, the City of Rio de Janeiro will be the venue for a major event organized by IBFAN and its partners. It will include the following:

• 3rd World Breastfeeding Conference
• 1st World Complementary Feeding Conference
• XVth National Meeting on Breastfeeding (ENAM by its Brazilian acronym)
• Vth National Meeting on Healthy Complementary Feeding (ENACS by its Brazilian acronym)

The overall theme of this event is “Breastfeeding and Healthy Complementary Feeding: Human rights to be protected for life”.

Proposals should be submitted up to 10 March 2019

For the PRE-EVENT to be held on 11 and 12 November 2019, proposals for the following shall be entertained:
• Courses
• Workshops
• Meetings
• Other activities and languages

DURING the event itself, from 13 to 15 November 2019, proposals for the following shall be entertained:
• Roundtables
• Discussion groups
• Meetings
• Other activities and languages

Roundtables are sessions with up to three speakers and one coordinator that deal with a subject from different angles, after which there is a debate with the public. At these roundtables there shall always be one mother (or father) who is invited to give her/his views.

Workshops are sessions for discussion, reflection and sharing of experiences. They may or may not end with the adoption of conclusions. They may be open to all or restricted to a specific public.

Discussion groups are occasions for dialogue at which participants can jointly reflect on a topic through problem-solving, information exchange and reflection for action.

There shall also be coordinated oral communication sessions at which research reports and experiment reports that have been approved and selected by the Scientific Committee can be presented. Some of these “abstracts” may possibly be exhibited on electronic posters. Reports for these sessions can be submitted via the event website (www.enam.org.br) until 10 May 2019.
