Outreach Children Hospital is a paediatric, neonatal and maternal medical service provider in Lagos with keen interest in other areas of medical value such as continuous professional development, medical equipment supplies and research.
The campaign is focused on making a life-saving change for mothers and babies in Nigeria by engaging the media on the use of existing evidence, to inspire people who work in the area of maternal and newborn health.
The governor also approved for the procurement and distribution of the 13 United Nations lifesaving commodities, including those for newborn health.

The new data reveals that a historic opportunity is at risk because two main challenges remain — the poorest children are being excluded, and too many children are still not surviving through the first month of life.

Dr Bunmi Ogundimu of Colostrum International said there is need for policy change and promotion of legislations that accommodate longer maternity break for nursing mothers and the father too.
The Inter-Parlimentary Union organized a summit for MP’s from ten countries to discuss ways in which they could assume more accountability for maternal and newborn health concerns.
