Aminu Magashi Garba

Aminu Magashi Garba is the Coordinator for the Africa Health Budget Network, which aims to create linkages between CSOs in Africa to enhance their capacity in health budget advocacy and to track African health financing commitments in the context of global and regional accountability mechanisms. Aminu has over 15 years of engaging in development work in Nigeria, and is currently leading the implementation of E4A in Northern Nigeria, facilitating the development of evidence-based accountability mechanisms for maternal and newborn care. He is an active Daily Trust Newspaper weekly columnist on health issues in Nigeria and the founder of Health Reporters, an online news website for health in Africa. Aminu is a graduate of University of Maiduguri, Nigeria with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and obtained Diploma and Masters Degree in Public Health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He also obtained a PGD in Research Methodology from Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research in collaboration with World Health Organization titled ‘From Research to Practice; Sexual and Reproductive Health.’
