Bibi Ara

Bibi Ara is a Senior Clinical Supervisor, MCHIP, Jhpiego Pakistan. I am a Nurse Midwife. My areas of interest include maternal neonatal and child health and midwifery. I have received my diploma in midwifery and nursing from Aga Khan University School of Nursing and Midwifery (AKU-SoNM), Karachi, Pakistan in 1994 and 1998 respectively. After successful completion of diploma in pediatric specialization from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences in 2005 I have earned the Post RN Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Shifa College of Nursing Islamabad in 2012. I have been working with MCHIP, Pakistan as Senior Clinical Supervisor since March 2013. Prior to this I worked as a short term consultant for reproductive health skill standardization and infection prevention with Jhpiego Integrated Health Sciences in Pakistan. My previous professional experience includes Public Health Officer with International Rescue CommitteePRIDE Project in Pakistan from 2008 to 2010. I was also worked with Aga Khan Health Services Chitral, Pakistan as head nurse from 2002 to 2008. During this time I have delivered many babies in clinical setting. I have also worked in pediatric department of Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi, Pakistan from 1999 to 2002. I am very much passionate about helping midwives to provide quality care to mothers and babies.
