Michelle Prosser

Michelle Prosser is a Certified Nurse-Midwife has a 33 year technical and programmatic background in in international development and clinical practice in Asia, Africa and Latin America. She is currently the Maternal and Reproductive Health Advisor for Save the Children. Prior to joining Save, she served as Director of Clinical Services for Planned Parenthood, Columbia Willamette in Portland, OR. Prior to her tenure at PP, she was employed by the Futures Group/Policy Project as Maternal and Child Health Director. At Futures Group she served as the interim Country Director in Cambodia, country manager in Ghana, and provided guidance and oversight to the USAID funded programs for the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood, initiated PMTCT activities and introduced cross-cutting maternal and reproductive health activities into new and existing projects. She has worked clinically as a nurse-midwife in a variety of settings in the US and abroad. Prior to becoming a midwife, Michelle worked with gender issues and socioeconomic and integrated rural development for the International Labor Organization in New Delhi, India and with the Swedish Development Authority based in Stockholm, Sweden.
