Saving Newborn Lives in Nigeria (short version)

In Nigeria, recent progress has been made towards improving the survival of children under the age of five, but the country is not on track to achieve a two-thirds reduction in child mortality in 2015 from levels reported in 1990. Nearly one million children die before reaching the age of five and a quarter of these deaths occur in the first month of life. Over 3,000 mothers, babies and children die each day. This video explores what can be done to save Nigeria’s newborns.
