Pronita Rani Raha is the 2014 Winner of the International Midwife Award. Pronita is a member of a small cohort of practicing midwives in Bangladesh. She is dedicated to saving the lives of mothers and newborns, and has helped shape the midwifery curriculum in her country. She is a teacher and a role model for colleagues, nurse-midwives and midwifery students. The award is sponsored by Save the Children and the International Confederation of Midwives.
