Implementation lessons from improving care for small and sick newborns in health facilities in Kenya

This presentation, was delivered by David Gathara, Assistant Professor of Health Systems and NEST360 Health Systems Lead for the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, for a webinar for the Care of the Small and Sick Newborn CoP. David provides an overview of implementation lessons from improving care for small and sick newborns in health facilities in Kenya, including the national partnership for SSNBC in Kenya, an overview of NEST360’s work, improvements made to provide better quality of care, and adaptations that were made in response to COVID-19.
