Improving the Quality of Care for Mothers and Newborns in Health Facilities: Facilitator’s Manual V.2

View Resource

A number of studies over the past years have documented poor quality of care provided to neonates and children. The Point of Care Quality Improvement (POCQI) model adapted  in the facilitators manual, focuses on teaching the principles and a simple step-wise approach for quality improvement at the point of care in health facilities and focuses on care of mothers and newborns around the time of childbirth, and care of sick and small babies. It is designed to build the skills of frontline health workers to identify and solve problems at their level without seeking significant additional resources.
