The government of Tanzania through the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, has organised a gathering of stakeholders to renew promises and plan ways to reduce up to 9,400 newborn deaths and 2,500 still births by end of next year. Key partners of the new ‘alliance for newborns include Evidence 4 Action through Mama Ye! campaign, Unicef, UNFPA, WHO, Save the Children, Jhpiego, CIFF, and TAMA.
