Meeting the Sustainable Development Goals laid out in the Global Strategy requires more – and more effective – midwives. How will we improve policies, working conditions, training and recognition for the services midwives provide? How will midwives meet the unique healthcare needs of women and children in marginalized, poor, hard-to-reach, and humanitarian contexts?
